How to Keep Your Nude Workout Routine While Traveling

By Sasha

The holidays hit, and suddenly your normal routine gets absolutely body-slammed.

Your carefully curated morning flow? Gone. Meal prep? Cute. Your inbox is somehow multiplying while your aunt insists you need thirds, and someone is asking if you can help set up the tent, SURE!!

Sasha offers shorter, fun, and creative flows in her Sassy 360, perfect for a quick holiday workout when your routine gets a little jumbled up!

Travel. Delayed flights. Weird hotel pillows. Airport snacks that cost the same as a mortgage payment. Your schedule becomes chaos, and suddenly, your “healthy routine” is just staying hydrated and hoping for the best.

I get it. Because I am deeply a creature of rhythm, and I believe this has lent itself to my drive and success in life.

I love routines! I am not afraid to admit it.

I love knowing when I’m moving my body, when I’m working, when I’m stepping outside barefoot to remember I’m a human being and not just a sentient to-do list. But life does what life does. And if I’ve learned anything, it’s this:

Your routine DOES NOT need to be perfect to be effective.

Stop Trying to “Stay on Track”

Hot take. I kind of hate that phrase - stay on track - what does that even mean anyway!?

“Stay on track” makes it sound like life is a train, and if you step slightly to the left during Memorial Day, and bam … you’ve somehow failed.

No, life has seasons. Travel happens, holidays happen, kids routines happen. Sometimes your sleep schedule gets possessed for days, or weeks on end.

Personally, my goal is not rigid perfection; my goal is adaptation.

Redefine What Counts as a Workout

This is where people mess themselves up.

If your normal workout is 60 minutes with your favorite expert trainers, and suddenly you only have 12 minutes in a hotel room, your brain says, “Well, guess I’ll do nothing.” Absolutely rude, am I right?

Because that 12 minutes counts. A short yoga flow counts. A quick bodyweight strength circuit counts. A mobility reset between family obligations absolutely counts.

At Audri & Asana, we’re big believers that movement should support your life, not require ideal conditions and a personal assistant.

Workout Snacking is Your Holiday Bestie

Are you familiar with workout snacking? Tiny intentional bursts of movement. This is where it shines even brighter that the holiday time off we are all excited about.

Try:

10 minutes of yoga before everyone wakes up
15 minutes of glute work while dinner is cooking
A quick stretch after sitting in the car for six hours
A short strength flow in your hotel room

Movement does not need to be dramatic to be effective.

Honestly, some of the most consistent people I know are just really good at lowering the barrier to entry.

Pack Like the Person You Want to Be

If you know you want to move while traveling, make it easy.

Throw in:

Workout clothes
Resistance bands
A yoga mat if practical
A playlist that makes you feel alive
Downloaded Audri & Asana workouts because hotel Wi-Fi is a liar

Future you - deserves support! Not sabotage.

Asana makes sure she’s ready for movement at any moment! Watch how she steals away in Tan Lines in Tulum to get a little flow in before getting on with the rest of the holiday!

Protect Your Workflow Without Becoming a Goblin

Now let’s talk work. Because, we all do it. We say, “I’m not going to answer even one email during this holiday time,” then catch ourselves sitting on the toilet at 5am desperately trying to answer emails. Am I right?

A few things that actually help (and be honest with yourself, you know you’re going to work a little):

Batch communication

Instead of being constantly available, choose windows.

Morning check-in. Afternoon check-in. Done.

Your nervous system says thank you.

Set expectations early

Tell people your availability before travel chaos begins.

This is called boundaries. Sexy, right?

Know your non-negotiables

What actually has to happen?

Not your fantasy to-do list.

Reality. Pick your top 1 to 3 must-do work tasks and let the rest breathe.

Nature is the Ultimate Reset

One of my favorite things while traveling? Getting outside. For me preferably naked!

Beach walks alone, mountain streams flowing like a song, desert sun bronzing my bare buns until I look like a goddess. Even a random patch of grass near a hotel parking lot that I dig my toes into and take a deep sigh of relief that I am alive.

I do not care what it looks like, nature is soul nourishment. A barefoot walk alone can reset your mood better than doom-scrolling could while you’re pretending that counts as recovery.

Nature is nourishment to the soul. Sasha is a flower child at heart, join her in some outdoor fun with Asana in Heavenly Hips

Food Is Not Morality

Can we please collectively stop acting like holiday food is a personal failure?

Please, I’m begging, lets have a little grace!

You did not ruin your body because you ate pie, or carbs, or had all the holiday cocktails, because those names just sound so enticing…oops!

Remember fitness and health is built through patterns, not one meal, or one weekend, or one weird Tuesday in Phoenix during 4th of July…

Enjoy your life! Move your body because it feels good. Then move on.

Asana knows that in order to get and stay in shaped we Carve Strength Daily, not over one holiday.

Give Yourself a Lower Bar, Not a Harder Time

This might be the biggest shift of all. When life gets chaotic, lower the expectation without abandoning yourself.

Instead of:

“I have to do my full workout.”

Try:

“What would feel supportive today?”

Maybe that’s 10 minutes, maybe we don’t call it yoga and instead just stretch, or a short walk to, touch grass, as the kids these days say. Or maybe it’s a little more restorative and we choose breathwork because everyone in your family is being, ummm, festive.

It all counts!

Spiritual Wellness Counts Too

This may be mildly controversial in fitness spaces, but I stand by it. Not every “productive” moment needs to be measurable.

Sometimes maintaining your wellness means:

Prayer
Stillness
Journaling
Sunlight
Breathing
Sitting outside barefoot questioning your life choices in peace

That’s maintenance too.

Final Thoughts: Consistency Is Not Perfection

Your life is not meant to fit into some flawless wellness aesthetic.

It’s meant to be lived, traveled, celebrated!

So my suggestion - Eat the thing, rest, move when you can, work when needed, protect your peace where possible; and finally remember:

The people who maintain healthy routines long-term are not the ones who never get disrupted.

They’re the ones who know how to adapt without making it dramatic.

TL;DR

Holidays and travel do not have to destroy your fitness or workflow. Short workouts, flexible routines, better boundaries, movement snacks, and realistic expectations can help you stay consistent without chasing perfection.
